automount and NIS

Not sure if this is a bug or not ?? I have been trying to set up NIS and automount /home directories of whomever logged in, but to no avail on Fedora 4. I was pretty sure I had set the files ok but just could not get it to work at all, the users home was not mounted automatically. So out of desperation I installed the autofs rpm from Fedora 3
rpm -Uvh --oldpackage autofs......rpm
Restart the autofs on my NIS clients and tried to log in.
Everything worked fine. So is it a bug in the Fedora 4 autofs rpm ? Has anyone else had the same experiences ??
Thanks Jimmy
