Hi all,

I have problem with my USB key. When I plug it into a slot FC3 recognize it and new icon appears on my desktop. After work I click to icon and I choose umount , icon disappears but key still light on and when I unplug key and again plug no reaction.

Can you please help me?

did you check that it had been unmounted? type mount.

The result of mount command after first plug:

/dev/sda1 on / type ext3 (rw)

usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
sunrpc on /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs type rpc_pipefs (rw)
/dev/sdb1 on /media/usbdisk type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,sync,noatime,fscontext=system_ubject_r:removable_t,user=kubo)

and after umount :
/dev/sda1 on / type ext3 (rw)
none on /proc type proc (rw)
none on /sys type sysfs (rw)
none on /dev/pts type devpts (rw,gid=5,mode=620)
usbfs on /proc/bus/usb type usbfs (rw)
none on /dev/shm type tmpfs (rw)
none on /proc/sys/fs/binfmt_misc type binfmt_misc (rw)
sunrpc on /var/lib/nfs/rpc_pipefs type rpc_pipefs (rw)

and now when I unplug and again plug this line :
/dev/sdb1 on /media/usbdisk type vfat (rw,nosuid,nodev,sync,noatime,fscontext=system_ubject_r:removable_t,user=kubo)

is again there but no icon on the desktop.

The key light stays on for me on Mandrake and SuSE even if I unmount it.
