Auto login as root

Yes I run as root.I live alone and the only one who touches the pc so why have to keep changing so I can do stuff in a user account.Using fedora 3 I tried to do auto login for root which it doesn't allow.Well does anyone know a way around this.Afile to edit or maybe a line of text to add

if ur using gdm as a logon manager then type : gdmsetup
you will be able to define which user can auto logon
