Arts

Im using KDE on FC3 and am having troubles with Arts. Firstly, sounds lag quite noticably (sometimes by a few seconds). When I run the Arts control tool and go to status it says arts should be run with realtime priority but isnt. How do I fix this? I've tried to bypass Arts altogether by changing the audio device in the KDE Control Centre to ALSA or OSS, but it doesn't do anything (strangely, Arts isn't listed there). If I do this, kill arts, then run a program that uses sound, arts starts back up again.

Basically my question is how do I a) Fix Arts, or b) bypass Arts.

Thanks
Floyd
