When I started with Fedora, it was Fedora Core 4. I found www.fedorafaq.org rather helpful. Last time I checked, there was no Fedora 7 update but a lot of the Fedora Core 6 stuff is still relevant in my opinion. It gives you tips on getting mp3 files playing, updating yum and other software packages, integrating with a windows system and much more.

Hope it helps

Fedora uses SELinux which can cause problems, so if something doesn't work, try disabling SELinux as a first step with

setenforce 0

form the terminal (then put it back on with setenforce 1)
