After "kmod-nvidia" installation, X works only till power down

Hi everybody.

After a fresh Fedora 10 installation, I set up rpmfusion repos and enter

yum install kmod-nvidia

command (as root). After kmod-nvidia installation everything is normal. X works, I have 3D support...
But when I power down my laptop and power on it, X could not start.

output of "grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log" command is:

here is whole Xorg.0.log file:

Any idea?

Well not sure if this applies but there are 2 kmod packages now. They don't automatically install the newest kmod when you update your kernel, if you only use the kmod-nvidia. Apparently you have to update that manually now. I am using akmod-nvidia and it automatically rebuilds/installs the driver for whatever kernel is running. I am not sure how it exactly works.

If you could get to init3 and update kmod-nvidia or if you want to go with akmod you need to remove kmod-nvidia first.

Hope this points you in the right direction.

I tried akmod-nvidia method. It built kernel module on boot but result was same. X fails with same errors.
Thanks for reply...

After a fresh install from DVD, X works now.
X works but it seems 3D is not fluently.

Thanks for replies...
