After Installation Monitor Wont Work "Out Of Range"

Hey I am pretty new to linux...and after I installed Fedora Core 4 my monitor goes out of range. I think it is because I set my resolution to high when I first installed, but I have read alot about the hsync and vsync being out of range. I have a liquid video LCD FP monitor A170E1-01. I was wandering how I could tinker with the Resolution and Hsync and Vsync to make it boot different after I restart to GUI mode....I have done the Resolution= and the HSync= and the Vsync=. If anyone could help I would appreciate it.

I had the same problem my first install.

Had to reinstall it again. :(

Then I figured out where to look to fix it. ;)

http://www.redhat.com/docs/manuals/e...iguration.html

Look in the /etc/X11 directory and look for xorg.conf.

Here you can edit the Monitor section and write in the values for your monitor. Be careful though and make sure you use the real values for the monitor.

I'm still a Linux noob....so that may not be everything.....good luck.
