Add something to grub
Oof. This probably has been asked abuot 10 millions times, but here it goes.
how do you add another OS to grub after it has been installed? I have put on slackware on my hdb2 and I want to make it go with grubby.

Just edit and add it to your grub.conf file.

Most of the time I do believe its in /etc but also could be in /boot
Not totally sure as I don't use grub, hate it with a passion to tell you the truth. Lilo does me right
If not there, just do a:
find / -name grub.conf

but but but, lilo is soooo ugly!!!
I dont like lilo at all, the only thing I have lilo on is a floppy to get into slack right now The only reason I installed fedora was to get grub because Im too lazy to figure it out by installing it in slack
BTW: Thnx

Well, to tell you the truth, I have two desktops with monitors and I rarely ever see the bootloader for obvious reasons. I can care less what the loader looks like, when I do see it, its for a few seconds anyways...
And that's just plain sad you install a totally different distro just to get grub back... shame on you..
Sorry, I just don't understand why people are so picky about their boot loader and what it looks like... 6 of my other machines I don't ever see lilo, my only access is by remote connection anyways..

Well, Id switch but I am worried now because I dont want the GRUB and Lilo both written in the MBR and cause my computer to explode. I cant use the Fixmbr with windows because my partiions are freaky and VERY bitchy, last time I did fixmbr it took me about a week to get back to normal. A nasty experience.
Besides of which, I am picky. I would like NO message when the kernel is booting, unless of course it is an error message I am a superficial ph00l
