Add/Remove Application Problem

I want to add some developments tools from fedora cds(Fedora Core 4 cds). I forgot some packages which is needed to use in compile operation.

That is the problem:

i am opening the add/remove applications and i am selecting all the development tools. Then update.

But this error comes:

Packages Not Found

The following packages could not be found on your system. Installation cannot continue until they are installed.

krb5-libs ('krb-workstaion','1.4.1','5')
rpm ('rpm-python','4.4.1','22')
libxml2-python ('libxml2-python','2.6.20','1.FC4')
gcc (''gcc-java','4.0.1','4.FC4')

When i saw this messages ,i found all packages and tried to install rpms.

But all of them are exists in the system.

What can i do ? Are there any applications to add/remove applications from Fedora Cds?

Add/Remove Applications may fail if you have updated your system, as it can and only check and resolve dependencies from the packages provided on the CDs.

The next generation of software management is yum. If you haven't used this, here is the Fedora documentation:

http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/yum/

To install packages from the CD with yum, you use the "localinstall" function:

http://fedora.redhat.com/docs/yum/sn...ompackage.html

There's a graphical front-end available for yum called yumex, which you can install in the normal way with yum itself.

thx for help.

yum is perfect. Depencies is very complicated in linux :)
