Before I give it a try, just want to know:
1)If I plug in my thumbdrive at USB2.0 port, will it autodetect and automount?
2)My XP is on C:\ ntfs partition, will fedora automount it? If I manual mount, can it read ntfs files?
Fedora shouldn't have problems with you USB thumb drive. NTFS support is not built in so you have to add it on your own. There is a guide at fedorafaq with details on how to do this.
The Fedora Core 4 distro, as supplied on the CDs, kinda worked with usb thumbdrives. After applying all the outstanding updates with yum, I find that it works exactly as you'd expect.

For me it works without any updates for most of my USB devices, SD and CF cards also. However, it still does not quite perform as well as SuSE built-in methods.
