3D on FC4 x86_64 w/integrated Radeon Xpress 200, any help?

--My first ever "Help" Linux post--

Been using Linux on and off for 4 years, not a newbie, definitely not a pro.

Bought E Machine T6212 w/AMD64 and Radeon Xpress 200. Have loaded FC4 (64) dual boot, but can't get 3D to work. Done a lot of googling last 3 days and tried various posted remedies but I just don't know enough to work this thing out. And if I do get it worked out, it's the last step to leaving Windows behind. I actually went and bought a Radeon X700 Pro (PCI-Express), couldn't boot up just with having the board plugged in. Tried reinstalling, and always locked up when starting "X" regardless of being plugged into X700 or X200. Finally gave up and it's back in the box. Just hoping for some help getting X200 running 3D now. I can reinstall if starting over is part of the solution. I've already tried ATI but seems like it needs XFree or at least some libraries from it. Tried Livna also, but not enough information to help me work it out. Again, everything works except 3D. There may be a possible Alsa problem after ATI drivers, but not totally sure. Flunks "Point 2 Play" test (Cedega - Transgaming) but it works on sound test. Any help greatly appreciated!

can disregard

Disregard my previous post. Can't even boot Fedora at all now, even reinstalled and locks up every time. I think this is going to have to be one of my "off" periods, at least until the community catches up with my hardware. Best wishes to those who can make it work...
