which kernel version is supported by feather ?


Hi,

which kernel versions are supported by feather ?

does it support kernel 2.6 ?

You find this sort of information on the developer's website. (Check out the FAQs and distribution notes and so on.)

In general, micro distros use the 2.4.x kernel because it is smaller than the 2.6.x and 2.6 improvements are being backported all the time.

However - this is not to say you cannot download a vanilla 2.6 kernel and compile it into your machine once the distro of your choice has been installed. Just because a distro comes with a 2.4 kernel dosn't mean it wont run under the 2.6.
