what is Feather?
So I hear that this Feather distribution is based on Knoppix, which is my favorite distribution. What, then, is the difference? Why would I try Feather instead of sticking with my Knoppix disc?

I had just heard of Feather, and my interest was casual enough that I would be more inclined to ask here than to go hunting around the internet for a page whose URL, if it existed at all, I had no idea of. Your responses give credence to the Linux-snob stereotype. (Except for Kilgoretrout's; that was the appropriate response. Ironic that a senior member would have a better handle on forum etiquette than a moderator.)

No no, there is a *huge* difference between forum ettiquette and laziness. It's basic forum ettiquette that you do basic research before expecting others to do it for you.

Right on, Chris!
& joshknape, if you know you are being lazy, at least apologize for it. At 199 posts you should know better. Please go read ESR's essay on asking good questions to see what a really harsh A would have been.
