I want to customize my feather cd. I want to add firefox, yahoo messenger and amsn. And I want to uninstall abs, zile, naim, axyftp and sylpheed (for starters).
I have 256Mb Ram... So I tried a clever trick of making a 700Mb swap file and make feather use it... It didn't work as good as I'd hoped... because the ramdrive remained constant (of about 200Mb) and the swapfile was partially used (20%)....
I downloaded and installed firefox, but when I was downloading the apt-get structure, it ran out of space on the ramdrive
So, I had to reboot, and chose a hard disk install of feather...
Now, It is installed, and works great. I want to know if I can create a custom image with the script on the cd starting from the harddrive distribution...
And if I can do that, after I install the desired programs, how do I uninstall the apt-get structure? (I want everything to fit a 70Mb cd...)
Also, how do I uninstall programs I don't need? Do I have to delete their files manually?
Thanks for helping...
