Feather compared with other mini or tiny Linux?
With all the mini and tiny Linux competing for a market, giving away free; Feather Linux basically supports motherboards which have multiple AMP cpus.
For a tiny or mini Linux, it covers some motherboards or hadware that DSL does not.
On the other hand, Feather used up some room on the 64 mb cd because 2.4.26 is lengthier in codes.
Linux kernel version numbers are asigned in sequence, and they are not necessarily backward compatible. So, you have to know the difference between DSL 2.4.22 and Feather 2.4.26.
However, because of Rob trying to fit within the 64 mb cd, a number of software, even games had to be downloaded into hdd. This is how you can start with a mini and expand into a full blown Linux operating system.
