Disappearing pon window
After setting up PPP in Feather 5.6 I have attempted to click on the pon menu item but the window only flashes briefly before disappearing. What can I do?

Typing "pon ispname" in the shell works but clicking on pon in the menu results in the disappearing screen.

It is not a bug, but lack of codes to have a dialog box or script to do the pon without getting the ispname from the ppp config file.
Eventually, Rob will complete the pon sequence to his liking? Probaly with modem light and data transfer rates and total bytes. But tiny linux principle(or philosophy) is to cut out the frills, stick to "the less, the more beautiful" concept.
Where are you pon to? Did you ping them first?

I just got Feather 0.6.0.
Is this fixed yet?
I did the PON thing from the menu, and the modem kept trying to dial, but I didn't have the phone line plugged in [don't ask] - it was the first time I tried the CD, so I didn't save anything.
On subsequent reboots, I get the same "flashing" behaviour from the menu, but if I open a console as knoppix user, then type pon <my connection name> it works.
What did I do wrong/differently ?

Typing the pon comand is the only way you will be able to connect with Feather. You haven't done anything wrong.

Also, try the latest version of Feather (0.7.2) in which the menu behaviour is fixed.
