More information?

looking through the LQ forum i find this distro DNAlinux, as i study biology at university naturally i'm excited about this distro i have never heard of before.

from a quick google search as im inbetween lectures i found the website which only gives very limited information. could anyone else give me some details on this or just paste some useful links about this distro.

from what i can find its a basic linux distro but with preloaded bioinformatics software on, if thats just the case would it not be worth sticking with the distro i already have and downloading the bioinformations software onto this?

Hello,

If you are an experienced linux user, you may find comfortable to stick to your distro and install needed bioinformatics software you need. But if you are new to Linux, this distro will save you the trouble to install a lot of software from source (most bioinformatic software are not packaged).

Best regards,
SB.

I downloaded your live CD server (The most recent one announced on Distrowatch.)and it would not burn because of the BZ2 extension. Can you fix that or tell me how to create an iso with a BZ2 extension? Also is it possible to create a multi-session CD with this distro using a CD-RW disc?
