X server question

Hi, i'm new to debian and know little about how linux works.
I'm doing a net install of Sarge and have some questions.
I'm tryin to install enlightenment as my WM.
So I did apt-get install enlightenment and noticed that it also istalled xfree86. I'm confused on what exactly is xfree86. I thought it was an x-windows-server, but when i try to start enlightenment via 'startx' i get an error messages. Saying 'startx could not be found'. Why can't I run 'startx'?
I also noticed that a package named 'x-windows-server' is available, so what's the difference between xfree86 and x-windows-server packages?
Also I heard that x.org is better than xfree86, so I was wondering why that is so.

Thanks for your help.

Debian stable uses xfree86 as it's x-server. Unstable is now using xorg. Try:

# apt-get install x-window-system

xfree86 is the x-server and "x-window-system" is the package name that will pull in all necessary x applications.
