Woody -> Sarge/Sid

Hi there, ive been a Slackware user for about 4 months now, but recently i built a system at work with Debian on it, and i loved the apt-get system. So ive decided to give Debian a blast, i know Woody is the best for stability and servers, but id like a few of the newer packages which are included into Sarge/Sid. What do i need to do to get a plain Woody install to Sarge or Sid, id like to know how to do both Sarge and Sid, as i think Sid may be a bit too "unstable" (i read that the packages which are released into Sid are compleatly untested) so id like to give them both a try. Im sure its not very hard to do, could somebody give me some pointers please? Thanks!

edit your apt sources to testing or unstable. Lots to read about on the forum, search should do the trick
