First start by going to
http://www.prism54.org . Look under supported cards, and look at the ones with a perfect rating. Next click on the HCL (hardware compatibility list) at the top of this page. Click on network cards, and go through the reviews that others have supplied. Match that up with your operating system, and that should help a lot.
One question though, why install Woody over Sarge? Sarge has a lot of the drivers of newer cards already in it, and has a very easy install; especially if doing a net install. Might make your install easier and increase the chances of installing a wifi card without using the ndis wrapper.
