Why so difficult to install Debian-Live to Hard disk????

I recently tried debian-live (lenny 500 cd). It looks insteresting. Would like to install to hard disk.
How to do it? There is no installer script like knoppix or mepis.
Can anyone suggest me how to install debian-live to hard disk? I don't want to start with installing debian itself but prefer to install from live CD to HDisk

Please dont suggest to try knoppix or ubuntu etc. I already know those distros. Specifically interested in debian-live

This is because when I make my own customized live-cd from live helper and hand over to average joe, if he likes it should be able to install to his HD
Thanks in advance

The Debian Lenny Live CD doesn't have an installer.

If you're making your own Live CD, I believe the name of the installer application you want to include is Ubiquity.

I received a private e-mail from you with this question. That must have been a mistake. Questions are posted in this forum, not privately to forum members.

To install Debian 5.0 I usually use the net install iso (about 150 MB). I then do a base install choosing standard system when tasksel runs, I don't select desktop. Then when the system boots up to a command prompt I log-in as root then install xorg and kde.

# aptitude install xorg kde

This method works well for me.
