why DISPLAY is :1 in my newly Debian system?
I installed Debian linux on my PC and found that the DISPLAY is :1 but not :0. Some of the OpenGL can't run on :1. Could anybody help me out this? I just want to know where I can fix the problem, i.e. which config file?

Thanks a lot.

Moving to Debian Forum

Is that for the first user, and they are the first to login? Where are you finding this info from?

Do you have a multi headed display in your video configuration? Usually :1 refers to the second display, :0 refers to the first (default) display. Did something happen to make the system think that you had two displays available?
