Why can't i start xwindows?


x-window-system-core installed
xbase-clients installed
wmaker installed
but once i enter the x, it say the fatal error and signal 11 received, then i am forced back to the consel.
How to fix it?

apt-get install x-window-system xdm

Thank you!
But i think it's not so necessary to install it.
The wmaker should be enough to open the windows, what do you think?

Dunno what you mean by "it".

Just install both packages I mention and restart and you should get a GUI login screen. That login screen will start up wmaker for you after you log in (dunno much about wmaker though).
