Which security repo for testing?
Hello,
Just looking at an old sources.list file on one of my machines. Should I be using the 1st group or 2nd group for testing repos? Thanks, pb deb http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free deb-src http://security.debian.org/ testing/updates main contrib non-free deb http://secure-testing.debian.net/debian-secure-testing testing/security-updates main contrib non-free deb-src http://secure-testing.debian.net/debian-secure-testing testing/security-updates main contrib non-free |
Try to connect to both manually and see what they have to offer (hint: timestamps! ;))

Hi,
Thanks for your reply and nudge up the learning curve. I'm not exactly sure what you mean though by manually connecting. I usually use aptitude update. Another nudge appreciated. Cheers, pb |
I was thinking about your plain old browser ;) However, having done so myself, it seems the latter (http://secure-testing.debian.net) is more for testing securities on Debian then a security repo for the testing branch. My advise is thus: use the first one (http://security.debian.org)

"plain old browser" Ouch, just stubbed my toe! ;-) Thanks again for the help Dutch and have a nice evening.
