Which of the cd ISOs have GCC on it?
I think it's referee to as the heavy install.
Whatever, there are ~39 cd ISOs and it says to not download unless the packages I need are on it. What one of those has GCC? Is it compatible with lubuntu? I would really rather only download the stuff once and I use lubuntu more than Debian... |
Mixing packages from Debian and Ubuntu can be disastrous if you don't know what you are doing. A simple game may work just fine but gcc is asking for trouble.

Are you connected to the internet? If so you can easily install gcc with apt-get, aptitude, synaptic, etc.
