Which kernel is best with AMD Sempron?

I am upgrading my motherboard and cpu. I bought a Gigabyte K7 Triton with nVidia and AMD Sempron 2400+ (Socket A). I had been using a K6-2 and the K6 precompiled kernel. I was wondering what might be the best kernel to use with my new Sempron. I went to debian.org and did a search for Sempron but no results.

thanks!

Jim

Hi.

The sempron you're talking about is just an Athlon with a new name. Try having a look for Athlon instead.

Athlon/Duron/K7 (if your compiling your self) would be your best bet.

the -k7 premade kernels would be best too.
