Which Debian based distro? Mepis or Libranet?

Through the years I've been using only RPM based distros. RH, mdk and now I'm using suse9. By now I'm really fed up with the rpm dependancy hell, and I'd really like to migrate to a Debian based distribution. I'm reluctant to try Debian because I really appreciate easy configuration and instalation. So now I'm considering Mepis and Libranet 2.7. I read that Mepis is based on Debian unstable, so I wonder just how unstable does it mean? Otherwise, Mepis has a ton of great features. Also i like what i read about Libranet2.7(adminmenu).

Anyway, which would you choose?

I have been using Mepis for about two weeks now and really love it. Warren has done a great job.
So far only kvirc has crashed on me once, otherwise the distro is as stable as many other bleeding-edge distros like Mandrake, which I have found to be quite buggy.
You can use apt for rpm, if you are using rpm based distros, from freshrpms.net which would
make it considerably easier resolving dependencies and reducing headaches.
