When "not cleanly unmounted", why the "check forced" is not not applied at boot?
 
"not cleanly unmounted" (cold reset), why the "check forced" of the harddisk is not not applied at boot under Debian Lenny

What filesystem are you using? I don't think they all force a check after a bad unmount, I am almost positive XFS requires you to manually run an fsck even after an unclean unmount.
