what if unstable isn't enough?

Hello;

I am interested in debian. I used it. Only unstable uses xfree 4.2.1, is there any way that I can get it to 4.3 or, if released, 4.4?

I want to have a 4.3, 4.2.1 does no support my video card. (prefer 4.4 for even better support)

Is there a extremly unstable where I can get this? How do I get it? (just editing the sources file?)

You can either recompile it from sources from www.xfree86.org (i did it with 4.0: long, not painful) or get it fro here, if you trust it:
http://opensource.nchc.org.tw/apt/xfree86-4.3/woody/
just add to your /etc/apt/sources.list
deb http://opensource.nchc.org.tw/apt/xfree86-4.3 woody
and run apt-get update

4.4 isn't officially released yet.

4.3 is in experimental (an official section of Debian, but not a complete branch really), so google around for info on that if you want.
