weird problem compiling (anything)
For some reason I just can't seem to compile anything anymore. Even before compiling a kernel and doing a make xconfig gives me a whole lot of errors. I guess it has something to do with gcc but I'm not sure and have no clue how to fix it. Make xconfig gives (unreadable) output like:
Code:
debian:/usr/src/linux-source-2.6.12# make xconfig Any clues? Regards |

/bin/sh: g++: command not found
looks a bit ominous. It might be good to check your filesystems (fsck). This should be done with the systems unmounted. One day make stopped working for me, even a rebuild failed, and in the end it proved to be a a damaged libc file. I fixed the filesystems, reinstalled glibc (not a trivial task - think long & hard before doing that) and found that the make problem was cured. Before thinking about reinstalling anything make sure that the filesystems are ok. |
