web camera

sid , 2.6.17
I never saw my webcam (quickcam ,Logiteck) working in Linux ,
I tried to download and compile varies drivers ,nothing help.
Looks like it doesn't detect the device although through KDE it recognize all the devices connected to the USB.
Is there an article/guid that can help ?

I used a driver from a french guy and it worked ok. At least in Ubuntu works without compiling any driver. I have a Clicksmart 510 so it might be different...
