Usb mouse not working after kernel upgrade due to sound problems
Hi all,
Ive had a bit of a terrible time with this PC Im putting debian on. Debian works awesome on my server no probs but thats not part of anything ;) What i have is a pc to make a home theatre with... I know how to do all that but i just cant get alsa to work! First of all on the 2.4.x kernel it wouldnt install because there was no version.h I couldnt find out how to remake it so i installed a 2.6.x kernel. Now my usb mouse wont work because the module psmouse fails to start on boot. I dont know how to fix this but im pretty stumped so any help is greatly appreciated! Cheers Chris |
Try apt-get install hotplug discover
These 2 packages should pickup the usb devices during the boot phase and providing your x configuration is good it should solve your problem. |
