USB mouse help!

ok, so I have a targus USB mouse. It works when I plug it in once the computer is booted, and even if I to /etc/init.d/kdm stop, /etc/init.d/kdm start it works. But when I reboot the computer, leaving it plugged in, the computer hangs w/ a blank screen where it would normally start kde. Here is my /etc/X11/XFConfig-4

Try changing the line;

it was that originally, for some reason that didn't work. I'll try it again, and see what happens

when I do '/dev/input/mice' KDE won't start upon reinstall. Kdm isn't running. Thoughts?

There have been problems with kdm in sarge. Do apt-get --purge remove kdm and then apt-get install kdm.

ok, reinstalling kdm didn't work. Other thoughts?
