Hi
I have an issue with my camera, which doesn't work when I plug it in any usb
plug in my boxes running sarge.
Of course neither digikam nor gtkam recognize it becausa the camera can't connect.
It works in display mode when the cord is unplugged and as soon as it is plugged in
the box or from the box to it, the little display shuts off.
It's a 2.6.8 kernel, I have udev, hotplug installed I tried usbmgr but it conflicts with
hotplug and uninstalled it along with other stuff such as udev, which on reboot gave me
no X at all.

The camera is compatible, and worked in Mandrake.

Any suggestions ?

Thanks for your help. In fact I didn't use the PTP protocol, but
by looking in the config menu of the camera (didn't even remember
there was one) I set it as disk instead of digital camera and in Gnome
it automounted with evern an icon on the dektop. From there no prob to
open and save pics.
