upgradeing gnome 2.4->2.6 in deb test/unstable

is there an easy way to upgrade gnome to 2.6?

i've tried a few guides but the apt-get sources they offer are usually busted or down or something.

is there an official experimental branch i can add to my sources.list and get gnome2.6?

it's in one of the debian branches, right?

any help, greatly apprciated.
