upgrade to buster breaks gnome-maps

Upgraded today from Stretch to Buster on my amd64 desktop. So far everything works except gnome-maps. Gnome-maps gives error that there is no Internet. Firefox, Chromium and Sylpheed work fine, as does "apt-get install --reinstall gnome-maps" so the rest of the system knows there is Internet. Any ideas? Can't find a config file that might be pointed at the wrong port. I am not using a VPN nor a proxy but my functional Ethernet port is eth2, not eth1.
