Error: OSS cannot be installed because there is another sound driver loaded.
Driver 'sound' has registered the sound device (character major 14) for itself.
So how do I unregister it then? By the way when i type lsmod i cant find any modules called sound
As root do modconf. If the command is unknown then do apt-get install modconf. You will be presented with a menu screen. Go down the list till you find sound cards and select. The installed modules will have a + next to them. Select it /them and they will be removed.
