unable to mount logical ntfs drive

Hello!

I have just installed the latest Debian, found on their website, and am having trouble mounting my NTFS drives. The primary partition i.e the windows system disk, works fine, but when it comes to the logical drive, hda5 etc.. it just wont do it.

I get the following error message when running <dmesg | tail>:
NTFS: Partition cluster size is not supported yet (it is > max kernel blocksize).

Lots of files on those disks =)

Please advise,

Sebastian

Erk - what kernel level is that ???.

Get a (recent) 2.6 kernel if you want good NTFS support - I don't do Debian, so I don't know what's on offer.

This is my first time on Debian. Where do i get a new kernel ? Redhat updater has always managed it for me before. Do you know of any websites that explain how to proceed in updating the kernel ?

Please advise,

Sebastian

I solved it by using kernel 2.6.16.20 instead, had a 2.4 version before, just so you know =) thx syg00
