Unable To Connect VNC

I installed "vnc-common" on a Debian machine and also "x-window-system gdm gnome" and then ran the following:

/etc/init.d/gdm start

Now when I try and connect to the machine via Terminal Service Client on my Linux box using the "vlc" option, I can't. Am I missing something or is there a service I need to turn on?

Hi

I think you need to install "vncserver" or some other vnc server as well. The "-common" packages are usually just the common stuff that both a vncserver and vncviewer needs.
