Tutorial: Installing Debian, net installer, DSL, x86
I have written a Debian install tutorial and would like some eyes on it critiquing it for clarity and ease of instruction. I know I'm a lousy writer -

Please check it out at Installing Debian GNU/Linux

Thank you very much for yor time and assistance.

I have one suggestion. For the installer part, you may want to mention some other boot options. For example, on my Dell Inspiron laptop, if I boot the netinst CD, I see a garbled display unless I add "vga=771" as a boot parameter. On top of that, Dell laptops have a resource range problem that requires entering "exclude port 0x800-0x8ff" in pcmcia configuration. The only way that can be entered at all is in "expert" mode. Therefore, the only way I could get Debian to install on my laptop is to boot with:

expert26 vga=771

Thanks for your comment. Can I take the easy way out and include your tip in the comments section of the install article on my site?

If no, then I will rewrite a paragraph in the beginning of my tutorial to mention your tip.

Again, thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for.
