the "applications" gnome main menu doesn't work

Hi, recently I updated my Etch to latest sid packages, everything work fine, I don't have broken dependencies, but the "applications" option of the gnome main menu doesn't work, I've clicked on it and the menu doesn't display.

My question is: do I have to reconfigure something? should I download a packages in particular? any suggestion?

Regards
