Synaptic Update Timeout

I have a repository that is a little slow to respond in my sources.list

deb ./

When i run apt-get update it struggles a bit then updates it with no errors.

In Synaptic it times out really fast before it can update.

Any way I can change the timeout settings in Synaptics reload feature?
