synaptic problem
i'm running debian sarge over a 2.6 kernel. i'm having an odd issue that just sort of sprung up today when i booted up my laptop. it seems that gnome2 wants to load synaptic whenever i login as a nonroot user. boot up of gnome hangs at the debian logo when the synaptic icon pops up. or does it? nope... behind the debian logo it is waiting for the root password. if i hit enter then my desktop finishes booting up and tells me i can't run synaptic as a regular user. i hope all this made sense and why would gnome suddenly decide to do this?

thanks in advance for any tips.

nevermind. i think i know what i did. i must've had synaptic open the last time i logged out and accidentally clicked the "save current setup" option whenever i was shutting down my laptop. feel free to delete this thread unless it may be helpful to another user.
