Description: Time-series data storage and display system (programs)
RRD is the Acronym for Round Robin Database. RRD is a system to store and
display time-series data (i.e. network bandwidth, machine-room temperature,
server load average). It stores the data in a very compact way that will
not expand over time, and it presents useful graphs by processing the data
to enforce a certain data density. It can be used either via simple wrapper
scripts (from shell or Perl) or via frontends that poll network devices and
put friendly user interface on it.
 .
This package contains command line programs used to access and manipulate
 RRDs.
I think it haven't an html backend??

Hi folks,
I just managed to istall and configure CACTI on my Debian system. It is running just fine... I'm able to access it via web, create & edit devices, etc. However, I just can't find a way to successfully create interface traffic graphs! I'm getting some funny OID messages under "Data Query [SNMP - Interface Statistics]", where I should be seing info about my eth0 I believe. What's wrong? how does CACTI get this OID info about my eth0? ...just in case, snmpd, mysql, and php are up and running... however, I get the feeling I'm missing something about configuring snmp so that CACTI gets the info it needs about my eth0, am I?
Does anyone know of any good online cacti how-to/tutorial?
Thanks in advance for your help!
Fred
