squid just as cache
 
hi everybody,
I want to create a cache using squid, just a cache not filtering anything,
have I to change the http_port to say 8080 and writing iptables for redirect 80 to 8080
or it is done by default without changing anything in squid.conf

what is the "it" that you're referring to? you want to use it transparently? if so http://tldp.org/HOWTO/TransparentProxy.html should point out the finer details you're after.
