sound driver problem
Hello everybody! I've installed Debian 3.0r2 and made a update to testing. Now I am using kernel 2.4.26-i686 and there is no sound driver. The gnome applet returns an error that could not open "/dev/sound/mixer". I've tried and 2.6.6-i386 and 2.6.7-i686, but no changes. The sound driver is included in al lthe kernels. For last I tried to chmod the /dev/sound/mixer and the result was that there is no /dev/sound/ direcory!
When I tried with alsa it failure with this output: Code:

#modconf
choose kernel/drivers/sound choose whatever you need, install it, reboot install sndconfig, run it, follow instructions add yourself to the audio group with 'adduser' install 'aumix' and calibrate volume, that's it.
