Small fonts in xine, xmms, mplayer

I have some trouble on my desktop PC with the small ugly fonts of some apps.
I use Debian Sarge and KDE 3.3.2. All software is the newest version.
I made some screenshots to illustate my problem:

http://mydisclaimer.com/images/mplayer.png
http://mydisclaimer.com/images/xmms.png

As you can see, the fonts are ugly and way too small. AFAIK those three programs are the only programs with that problem on my system. All other programs have perfectly nice fonts (GIMP, Synaptic, Firefox, etc)
It's not only the menus of those programs, also the settings dialogs for example.

When I change the fonts or sizes in kcontrol, only the KDE apps change fonts.
I installed the GTK fonts 'extension', but that only changes te fonts of Mozilla products.

Hey,

I think you have to install xfonts-base-transcoded ; xfonts-100dpi-transcoded and xfonts-75dpi-transcoded. This should probably solve your problem.

That worked (after a restart of X). Thank you!
