skype or similar package for Deb 4.0

Hi Folks - I looked a while on the debian.org site to see if I could find a skype type package. A friend has skype on windows, so I'm trying to set up in Debian 4.0

Anyone know of a package?

You need to use skypes own repo, I think.

Or just download it directly from their site and install it with dpkg -i skype-debian_1.4.0.118-1_i386.deb.

Thanks - I think I have found a Debian package. which does voip and vid conf, messaging etc. Called Ekiga, looks good

Mind you, Skype is propriety, which violates the Debian Social Contract so it's unlikely there'll ever be an official Debian package for Skype....
