Sid: can't access xfce

I can't access xfce in Sid at all, either via lightdm or startx. Here's my .xsession-errors.old: http://termbin.com/j13f

Anyone have any ideas? I did check the BTS but I didn't really find anything and I'm not even sure what package would be to blame.

Does any desktop or window manager work? If so, which one.

Yeah sorry, should've mentioned before, I can access i3wm via lightdm. I haven't extensively tried others.

It sounds as if the XFCE install went screwy. Did you install it from the repos and, if so, which package did you select, the XFCE4 meta-package or something else?

If it were me, I'd try removing it via Synaptic and reinstalling it. As the man said, can't hurt, might help.

I installed it via task-xfce-desktop - the one in Sid. I installed a minimal Stable, upgraded to Sid, and installed it via the tasksel. I guess I'll reinstall xfce4, and not the entire metapackage.

apt install --reinstall xfce4 doesn't work. I don't know about changing error messages because I didn't check, but the same problem occurs, I assume it's basically the same.

Have you checked the logs? I'd start with /var/log/syslog.

There doesn't seem to be an Xorg.?.log, but this might help: http://who-t.blogspot.com/2014/03/vi...ournalctl.html

And also, dmesg:

[18632.950486] Chrome_~dThread[9725]: segfault at 0 ip 00007f64d9beee23 sp 00007f64d664aad0 error 6 in libxul.so[7f64d96d5000+3b09000]
[18643.675129] xfce4-panel[10153]: segfault at e4 ip 00007f5ecb862c10 sp 00007ffd3f1966d8 error 4 in libX11.so.6.3.0[7f5ecb831000+138000]

libX11.s.6.3.0 is either libx11-6 or nxagent. Could be an error with one of those specific packages.
