Setting 5.1 sound on debian lenny (AC'97)

Hello all, i have a Asus A8N32-Sli deluxe that comes with AC97 sound
Code:

lspci | grep audio
00:0d.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation CK804 AC'97 Audio Controller (rev a2)

and i want to know how i can enable my 5.1 speakers. In windows just change the speaker configurations and that works but here i don't have a clue.

I'm new to Linux and currently don't have any windows installed (to avoid temptation) jeje. Thanks in advance

I'm not sure if this will work or not, but it's better than nothing. Go into the volume control center thing. (Right click on the volume icon / Open Volume Control) Go into Edit / Preferences and it will have a setting of Select Which tracks are visible. Select the proper ones and adjust from there.

Thx for the tip but i already did that, even with alsamixer. But going to check the plugs of the board to be pretty sure, because i could enable the wrong one... never know jeje

Thx !

Nope, checked again and nothing :(
